Vintage goodies!

I love vintage homewares and I'm gradually replacing things in our home. My interest is in things I remember from my seventies childhood and items from the fifties and sixties. I also have a huge interest in the Homefront during wartime but the further back you go the more difficult it is to find things and they're more expensive. I use a lovely online shop to buy homeware from the sixties and seventies. There's something for everyone's price range and I use everything I buy. This is helping me to keep things simple and clear the clutter...getting rid of the things we really don't need! I am going to show you my vintage goodies in use around our house but today I will show you my latest finds...

We collect ladybird books and I pick these up quite cheaply at our local antiques centre or from the online Oxfam shop.

I'm getting together a lovely collection of vintage knitting patterns.

I've been replacing the bedding in our bedroom and the spare bedroom. We use sheets and blankets now! I've just picked up these lovely pillowcases :)

Henry has lots of vintage blankets, beautifully crocheted. This is his latest. I love the colours.

Finally the Tupperware...I love it. I love the seventies colours, the brown and orange. These will be put to good use in my kitchen.

I'm on the look out for cake tins next :)
