Homemade and Handmade

I love handmade clothes and I've recently ordered several beautiful dresses for Daisy. She loved choosing her own fabrics :) I can't wait for Spring when she can wear them.

Here's some of the meals I've been making...

Lamb shanks

Coleslaw

Tuna and kidney bean salad

Ham salad with potato and egg salad

Chocolate sponge and custard

Vanilla cream slice

We've baked lots of little fairy cakes for teatime this week. Henry decorated his first fairy cake too!

A little bit of shopping...

For Daisy's dolls house

Vintage goodies

A vintage fisher price bus for Henry

New dresses for me!

And finally...

Another first for Henry, his first pair of welly boots. We had a lovely walk last Sunday and it was snowing!

After that we needed hot chocolate to warm us up.

Home cooking and a rare meal out!

Hello and thank you for my birthday wishes :)

It's been a couple of weeks since my last post because I've been so busy and nursing poorly children and my annoying cough! I have been cooking and baking though and we did have a meal out! Here's what we've been up to...

A little delivery from my favourite retro seller :) we collect ladybird books and here's another vintage blanket for our bed. I didn't manage to photograph some vintage dolls house furniture because Daisy whisked it away to play with! I have another order due any day so will show you when that comes.

The gorgeous Dee (fellow blogger) sent me the recipe for this bread. It was so easy to make and has cheese and onion in it. I plan to make it again and experiment with flavours. It was really tasty with a bit of cheese and pickle...

Jelly is a favourite here!

Last Sunday we took a trip to Leamington Spa. With an unsuccessful visit to clarks and a bit of shopping we decided to eat lunch out. My greedy pudding which I only managed half of...

Here's lunch! We eat our main meal at lunchtime now because Daisy has a hot home cooked meal at nursery. Teatime is a traditional tea. This day Daisy was poorly and at home. We had salad for lunch...

Mince and onions and apple crumble...

I found a recipe for traditional gingerbread. Henry wasn't keen but Daisy and I enjoyed it like this for tea or as a pudding the next day with custard.

Salad again for me! I roasted a chicken and some onions, peppers and mushrooms. It was really yummy and I was full up without any bread!

After roasting the chicken I stripped the leftover meat for the next meal and boiled the carcass up for stock. Yesterday I made leek and potato soup and chicken risotto...

For pudding we had ice cream or pears and chocolate sauce. I found the recipe in a school dinners book. It was very rich so only needed a little...

So that's it and on to a new week!
